The Technical Writing Truth
If there are some minor errors or inaccuracies in documentation of a product, it is not always true that the documentation team is responsible for that. Rather, there are many factors that lead to poor documentation that is not complete, clear, accurate, and correct.
Primarily, the product itself can be unclear, the schedule may be unrealistically tight, the technical team could not clarify the doubts and clarifications to documentation team, and QA was stuck with its own deadline so no real QA of document, and so on.
Inspite of all these factors, the job of technical writing team is to improve documentation, to minimize the errors and vagueness, and to make the documents more clear and accurate.
